ARE YOU READY FOR WHAT COMES AFTER THE SECRET?.....

I was listening to Joe Vitale yesterday. Do you know who he is? He's a mover and a shaker in what used to be called the "human potential" movement. He was in "The Secret" movie. He talks about visualizing and manifesting....all very cool stuff...very positive....very empowering and "taking control" of your life...I think it's pretty healthy, especially if you go about it the right way....no more blaming others....it's all about personal responsibility....anyway, he had some GREAT tips for visualizing...just STUPENDOUS stuff....and one of the most wonderful things about the Law of Attraction is that it is so positive...it's all about service and giving it back or paying it forward...it's truly wonderful....well, he talks about a technique that he does all the time and I've been doing it...and I LOVE it...and I think it's working...I'd be interested in people trying it and seeing how it works...really trying it...putting it to the test....yea, you may feel silly at first, but no one will know you're doing it except you and it can only have a positive impact...you have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain...you wanna try it?....huh?....do you really?....cause it's great....really?....okay!!!

Here's what you do....every time you pass someone...talk to someone...interact with someone...smile at someone...every time you even SHARE SPACE with someone, do this....say to yourself, in your mind, "I love you" over and over and over while you're looking at them and even if they aren't looking at you....while you are sharing space with them....even if they're complete strangers...ESPECIALLY if they're complete strangers... "I love you"...."I love you"....."I love you"....see what happens.....it's radical....I'm warning you....It's truly flippin' radical...but try it..."I love you"....see what happens....if you can do it with a smile, that's even better....just try it....."I love you"....."I love you"......."I love you"....can you even imagine what could possibly happen?.....what the potential could be?.....think about it....It's a vibration that gets sent out and returns....The Law of Attraction....Are you ready for it?....."I love you"......

And hey, when I explained what this was...and your first reaction was to roll your eyes and say, "Yea right" and come up with a snarky, sarcastic response....maybe you need it most of all....and besides being someone I would probably love to hang out with, get this...I love you.....

I love this, I agree with Ms. Em. How could this be anything but positive and so rewarding. Just a heads up on the 1964 Valiant convertible, it was powder blue. The reason it is so embedded in my memory, I was the first one to put a nice dent in it.

love, your sister.

Hewo Seester....Ahhhhh....yes....YOUR 1964 convertible WAS powder blue....MY 1964 convertible was tan...TAN!!!...do NOT get me started on how UNfair that was...they were two entirely different cars my dear...I guess Dad had some kind of weird radar for those little cars to get his daughters when they were starting out....but yes, yours was a delightful powder blue, mine was puke tan and yes, you dented yours and I used mine to dent others'...so I guess it all equaled out!...so happy to find you here!!!...and I LOVE YOU!!!!

I remember doing something akin to that on my misison. I tried to see the Savior's face in the faces of everyone else. Amazing things happened when I was diligent about that. I'm sure the same will happen if I think to myself "I love you" repeatedly when interacting with people because there really is no difference between the two. Good idea, Mom.

Eli-your comment means the world to me...I am imagining you doing JUST THAT and it warms my heart...you are one of the most loving individuals on the globe and I'm proud that you are my son...how blessed I am to be your mom...thanks for being you honey...

Em-thank you for your enthusiasm on this as well...I know you'll do well with this because you exude love all the time....I've seen it...you are amazing....

Diane-I love you too...cars notwithstanding...and don't get me started on the love YOU have put into the world....

well, if someone rolls his or her eyes, i love him (her).

here's what i do (kind of like what eli did on his mission): when i am sitting with a client who is hard to like, for whatever reason, i say to myself, "this person is Christ, this person is Christ."

"what ye did to the least of these, ye did it to me."

(did i quote that right, eli?) :)

Nancy, I can't begin to imagine the challenge of implementing this type of thing with YOUR work...I mean REALLY!...bravo, my friend...bravo!!!

well, it is precisely in my line of work where this kind of thinking matters the most, right?

believe me, i don't succeed at this most of the time. 10% of the time, maybe, but certainly not most of the time.

but i try. i try.

I've been trying this. I don't think it's having the right effect. See, if I'm thinking, "I love you, I love you, I love you," then I can't carry on a conversation. And if there is no conversation, I just end up standing there like an idiot thinking, "i love you, I love you, i love you," and being completely unable to do what I'm trying to do. Any suggestions for this, or am I just doomed to no longer being able to multi-task since having the babies?

I understand that comment very well Abs. I went thru the same thing and thought "Man, loving someone is hard!" but really, I think it comes down to just placing the intention there, carrying on the conversation, and then going about your business with maybe thinking it again after it's all done. I think the important thing is the intention. Intention is everything. Great question!!!!!
