ATHENS, OHIO PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL: 13TH MOST HAUNTED...WE GOT IN!!!!

Yes, it's true. Eli, Abby and I got in to the oldest portion of the set of buildings and maneuvered up to the abandoned patient floors on Saturday and got digital pics of the old patient floors. There are orbs in several of the pics. Lots of tapping and shuffling sounds...very interesting. We found an old spiral stair case leading up to the oldest third floor that had not seen human foot steps in quite some time, but Abby was fearful we would be caught and frankly, it would be difficult to explain our way out of such a location at that point. I will post pics when they are emailed to me from Eli and Abs... and bravo to them for sticking with me in a scary situation, they were real champs. I still can't believe the back doors opened and the stairwell doors marked "locked" and "keep closed" just opened up to us so easily....it was almost too easy. The orbs responded to requests of tapping. They were quite cooperative.

The cemetary was quite beautiful with a park like setting and nature walk, complete with pond. The greenery was beautiful. Everyone has considered this a dreadfully hot week but I have found it refreshing and lovely...I will return to the desert with plumped skin and thicker hair...ahhhhh humidity....what good you do for us and we take for granted...

More coming later....please feel free to leave comment on ths controversial issue....all welcomed....

Be well.

Ok...perhaps you spooked everyone out too much to comment. Or, they are not sure which controversial subject you are talking about....the orbs tapping, or the sweetness of humidity? I for one, love the green, so I will put up with the humidity. As far as the adventure...yay for Abby going along. Seems right, somehow, that she is now in on the "quest". I am glad, dear friend, that your trip to the old hospital was productive, altho I think there's much more to the story. You are my favorite spooky freak, you know that, don't you?

I remember long ago hearing about "Marge"....a deaf mute who got stuck somehow in the hospital, took off all her clothes, laid down, folded her arms and died. There is an eternal stain now, where she died, and she haunts the place. Also, that many of the graves have no names....just patient numbers. (told by my boss' daughter in Dayton OH who graduated from Ohio Univ in Athens) Wonder what the real story of Marge is. so, this is the 13th most haunted in what? ohio? the country?

I am so proud of you, mommy. I so want those picture when you get them. It is amazing that everything became open to you. Maybe "they" were waiting for a true believer. Maybe everyone else is false in their motives? You are a pure, honest and an open-minded person. I believe that they feel it, they know it. Maybe they knew that you weren't there to hurt or poke them. I told you many times...I don't believe in coincidence. Everything happens for a reason. Think about it.

Hey old buddy! I just left YOUR blog!! Marge (I didn't know that was her name) but there is the story that a female patient was taken to the 3rd floor and died there and the outline of her body is still there when the sun shines on the floor. We stood at the base of the old spiral staircase to get up there but that's when Abby became concerned (rightly so) that if we got caught, we would be in a pickle to explain how we got there. We were pushing the envelope as it was. And yes, the graveyard does indeed just have numbers on the markers. So sad...but they're in a beautiful spot, if that is any consolation. I would love to pursue a career in psychic phenomena, the skepticism as well as the truly unanswerable, but the really good degrees are in Scotland, which interestingly is where we want to serve our missions...and by "we" and mean "my"....hahahahahah

OK, Emily told me I can comment, so feel free to email me and tell me to go away if you need to! :)

I LOVE your blog, and I LOVE your open mindedness. I do wish there were more people with such faith and such openness.

I plan to lurk with you a long time!

Melissa- who met you when you were here helping Em with Clark, but I doubt you remember me! :)

Frizzlefry...cool name...makes me hungry...love it that you're lurking...are you a ghost?...ghosts are welcomed as well...Melissa...one of Em's sister friends...then you are beautiful, all of her friends are incredibly beautiful..I tell her this all the time. I've often wondered if she has a filtering system but that would offend her because she is so wonderful to everyone but is there some kind of beauty standard one has to meet to be in your ward...some kind of SoCal beauty thang?...anyway, welcome my new sweet friend...lurk away and comment and enjoy and WELCOME TO OUR REINDEER GAMES!!!!!

If there are beauty standards, I sure missed the memo! Now that I think about it though, I can admit that you are right about there being a lot of pretty women in our ward.

And, I do love reindeer! :)
